We continuously refine our skills, uphold strict hygiene standards, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming studio environment.
Strict Hygiene Practices
All inks, gloves, masks, needles, etc. are disposable.
Non-disposable equipment, such as treatment tables and lights, is thoroughly protected with single-use barrier film and sheets to prevent cross-contamination. All barrier materials are discarded after each session.
Immediately after each session, all contact surfaces and equipment are rigorously disinfected using an Isopropanol-based solution.
Small reusable tools (e.g., tweezers and grips) are individually cleaned, disinfected, and stored in a professional UV Sterilizer Cabinet.
Creating a Comfortable and Safe Studio Environment
We strictly refuse entry or services to individuals who fall under the following categories.
Persons under the age of 19 or high school students (Individuals enrolled as students in high school, regardless of age)
Persons affiliated with organized crime groups or their equivalents.
Those who are pregnant or suspected to be pregnant
Individuals with transmittable blood-borne pathogens (e.g., HIV, Hepatitis B or C).
Those with heart disease or other health problems
Individuals deemed to be uncooperative or lacking in respect for our staff/studio policies.
Any other person who is deemed inappropriate by our studio.
These exclusive pieces are the work of Daniel, a former Busshi (Master Buddhist Sculptor) who honed his world-class technique in Japan. Each item is meticulously designed and individually sculpted by him, whether carved as a prototype or finished entirely by hand.
Tattoo Studio Ray’s offers silver accessories crafted by Daniel, a former Buddhist sculptor.
Each piece features tattoo-inspired motifs like crosses, acanthus, and feathers—bold yet
intricately detailed, expressing individuality with subtle strength.
Welcome to "RayTube" the official YouTube channel featuring Tattoo Studio Ray's artists from Kyoto and Tokyo, as well as owner Daniel Ray Brewster. Join us to discover behind-the-scenes glimpses, exclusive tattoo insights, and a variety of other captivating content.
SDCP (Save the Dogs and Cats Project) is a social initiative by Ray's aimed at reducing the euthanasia of dogs and cats.
The project was inspired by owner Daniel Ray's encounter with the studio's mascot, Mona. This deep connection with animals sparked a mission: to reduce the number of suffering pets and to determine what contribution a tattoo studio could make to society.
Since April 2018, Ray's has continually donated 100 yen from the revenue of every tattoo session.
As the proverb states, "Every little bit helps"—we firmly believe that continued, small-scale support can save lives, and we are committed to continuing this mission.

The Story Behind Our Logo
Lily Emblem
A Symbol of Challenge and Hope
The lily, designed sharper and taller than usual, represents the courage to take on challenges and the will to uphold one’s beliefs. Within its sharp form resides a light that pierces the darkness—a symbol of hope for the future. It embodies the spirit of confronting any obstacle and forging one’s own path.

FAQs
Can I get a tattoo today (walk-in appointment)?
Our studio is by appointment only, but we may be able to accommodate you if there is room in the schedule.
Design consultations also require an appointment.
Please note that we do not have any brochures or books of artwork available for viewing at our studio. To view our artists’ work and available styles, please visit our Tattoo MenuandArtists page.
I live far away and it is difficult for me to visit for a consultation beforehand. Is it possible to have a design made ahead of time?
Yes, it is possible. In this case, we ask that you make a deposit as part of the tattoo cost in advance. Once we confirm your payment, we will create the design.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable once the design process has begun, even if the appointment is later canceled.
After the design has been created, any major revisions requested by the client will incur an additional fee.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, our studio offers installment options depending on the number of tattoo sessions. Please feel free to contact us for more details.
Can I get a tattoo on my face?
We do not perform any tattooing on the face, except on the ears.
Are there any precautions before the procedure?
Please ensure you avoid alcohol, get plenty of sleep, and eat a full meal before your session to be in optimal physical condition. For more detailed information, please refer to the reserve page.
I don't know what to expect after the procedure or how to take care of myself afterwards.
After the tattoo is cleaned, disinfected and sterilized, a special protective sheet is applied. In addition, showering and bathing should be avoided on the day of tattoo session. For other precautions and aftercare, please see more information on our aftercare page.
I am pregnant, can I still get a tattoo?
Tattooing is very hard on the body, so we do not perform the procedure on pregnant women or those suspected of being pregnant.
